Teaching is my passion because I truly want to make a difference in the lives of children. Being in the role of an educator I have the unique opportunity to make an impact on and mold young people at a critical time in their lives. Sharing my passion to teach allows me to collaborate with others because we can use our like-mindedness to connect on a professional level. This lends itself to us being able to create professional learning communities as a safe place to share and gain information with one another. As teachers, in a professional learning community, we can lean on one another to strengthen our teaching methodologies. Thus, benefitting the students we cross paths with.
